Protecting your privacy is important to The First National Bank of Litchfield, Litchfield Mortgage Service Corporation, First Litchfield Leasing Corporation, and our directors, management and employees. The following policy serves as a standard for The First National Bank of Litchfield, its subsidiaries, Litchfield Mortgage Service Corporation and First Litchfield Leasing Corporation, and all directors, management and employees, for collection, use, retention, and security of nonpublic personal information. Litchfield Mortgage Service Corporation is an affiliate of and owns and services real estate loans originated by The First National Bank of Litchfield. First Litchfield Leasing Corporation is an affiliate of The First National Bank of Litchfield and provides equipment leasing services to customers.
WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We may collect "nonpublic personal information" about you from the following sources:
- Information we receive from you on applications or other loan and account forms;
- Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates or others; and
- Information we receive from third parties such as credit bureaus.
"Nonpublic personal information" is nonpublic information about you that we obtain in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. For example, nonpublic personal information includes information regarding your account balance, payment history, and overdraft history.

Our Policy is to fully comply with all applicable provisions of State and Federal Law protecting your financial Privacy. We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you to any third parties, except as permitted by law.
WHAT INFORMATION WE DISCLOSE TO AFFILIATES
We are permitted under law to share information about our experiences or transactions with you or your account (such as your account balance and your payment history with us) with companies related to us by common control or ownership ("affiliates"). We also may share additional information about you or your account (such as information we receive from you in applications and information from credit reporting agencies) with our affiliates. You may direct us not to disclose to our affiliates information that does not relate solely to our or our affiliates' transactions and experiences with you or your account (such as the application information and credit bureau information) by calling us at 1-888-567-1814.
Federal law gives you the right to limit some but not all marketing from our affiliates. Federal law also requires us to give you this notice to tell you about your choice to limit marketing from our affiliates. You may limit our affiliates, such as the leasing and mortgage service affiliates, from marketing their products or services to you based on your personal information that they receive from other affiliates. This information incudes your income, your account history, and your credit score.
If you choose to limit our affiliates from marketing their products or services to you, your request will apply to all of your relationships with our affiliates. If you have a joint account, a request to limit our affiliates from marketing their products and services to you will apply to all parties on the account.

WHAT INFORMATION WE DISCLOSE TO NONAFFILIATED THIRD PARTIES
We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you to any third parties, except as permitted by law. We are permitted under law to disclose nonpublic personal information about you to "nonaffiliated third parties" (i.e. third parties that are not members of our corporate family) in certain circumstances. For example, we may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to such third parties to assist us in servicing your loan or account with us; to government entities in response to subpoenas; and to credit bureaus.
In addition, we are permitted by law to disclose certain nonpublic personal information which we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing arrangements. Such financial institutions may include securities broker-dealers and insurance agents which allow us to make certain securities and insurance products and services available to customers.
FORMER CUSTOMERS
If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will continue to adhere to the privacy policies and practices described in this notice.
OUR SECURITY PROCEDURES
We also take steps to safeguard customer information. We have designed procedures to restrict access to your personal and account information to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We have developed a program to maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.
PRIVACY AND CHILDREN ON-LINE
We will not knowingly collect, retain, use or disclose information about children under 13 years of age.

Our web site contains links to third party web sites that you may find useful. Once you leave The First National Bank of Litchfield's site, our privacy policy will no longer be in effect. PROTECTION OF SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS
In addition, as required by Connecticut law regarding the protection of social security numbers, the Privacy Policy of The First National Bank of LItchfield is designed to protect the confidentiality of these numbers, to limit access to these numbers and prohibit unlawful disclosure of such numbers.

Identity theft is a fast-growing form of consumer fraud in this country. The First National Bank of Litchfield and its subsidiaries, work hard to protect your information. You too can play a role.
IDENTITY THEFT - MINIMIZE YOUR RISK
It is important to take some measures to avoid becoming an identity fraud victim. Here are some things you can do to minimize your risk:
- Keep your personal numbers safe and secure. Guard your social security number. Do not carry your social security number in your wallet or write your social security number on a check.
- Shred unused credit offers, convenience checks and other documents containing personal information before discarding them.
- Review bank and credit card statements for accuracy.
- Pay attention to your billing cycles. If your bills don't arrive on time, check with your creditors.
- Don't give out personal information to people you do not know, especially over the phone or Internet.
- Commit all passwords and Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) to memory and do not give them to anyone.
- Keep track of credit card, debit card and ATM receipts.

IF YOU BECOME A VICTIM
Even with precautionary action, identity theft may occur. If you believe you are a victim of identity theft, take action immediately. Here are some suggestions recommended by the FTC:
- Contact your banks, credit card companies, and all others with whom you have a financial relationship.
- Contact the major credit bureaus listed below and request a "fraud alert" be placed on your file.

- File a report with your local police department. Ask them for a copy of the police report, in case you need proof later of the crime.

1-877-IDTHEFT (1-877-438-4338).
MAKING SURE INFORMATION IS ACCURATE
Keeping your account information accurate and up to date is very important. We provide you with access to your account information through various means, such as account statements, Telephone Banking, and Online Banking.
