A History of Excellence
FNBL is the oldest nationally chartered bank in the state of Connecticut, created by the founding fathers at the birth of our country. Benjamin Tallmadge, George Washington's spymaster during the Revolutionary War, was one of our founding directors. FNBL was established in 1814 in order to meet the financial needs of the community.
